This campground is awesome! We had such a secluded campsite right on the river. The campground is clean, so are the bathrooms. We had a great time fishing and hiking. It's a small campground and the owner is really nice. She gave us directions so we could go hiking at Slide Mountain. That's a great hike with a pretty view up top. If you don't like to see people or hear radios, camp in the Pines or Island. They also have regular campsites on the other side of the campground where you can have a radio.

Besides the fact that it rained our first night, we had a great time. Thought the sites would be muddy, but they were fine. We camped in the Covered Bridge sites. The campers next to us turned their car radio on too loud. I went to the office and complained and they took care of it right away. They kept checking to make certain it stayed quiet for us, we really appreciated that. Our site was huge and right on the river. I liked having a water spigot on my site, makes it easier, didn't have to carry water. The campground and bathrooms are clean. And so is the river. The owners are nice and gave us lots of ideas on where to go hiking. The waterfall is a great hike, right next to campground. The campground has farm animals too. So cool, our kids loved it. It was fun seeing the ducks swimming in the river. A couple of chickens came by our site, we got to feed them. We would definitely camp here again. Nice place, great sites and lots of trees. More expensive than the state park, but worth it!

The area is lovely, the site was level. this is a heavly wooded area. the bahtooms are rustic but they were cleaned at regular intervals which heped. unfortuneately the owners did not make us feel welcome at all when we arrived. we brought our dog along and showed them proof of her immunizations including rabies. The wife only looked at date of injection. She was very obnoxious, really rude and screamed at us that the rabies shot had expired because it was more than 12 months old. we had to point out that it also comes in a two year shot and it HAD NOT expired yet. then she asked her husband if he would take us to our site, that was a nice gesture because it had already started to get dark. but he yelled back, NO, he didn't want his dinner to get cold. we felt like we were interupting their lives for having selected their campground. the roads are not lit, it was very hard to tell what was road and what was campsite. we ended up in the little parking spot reserved for cars at the bathroom. A few friendly campers helped us back out of the tight squeeze and find our site. there is a lovely covered bridge and stream that goes through the camground, but you can only get a stream side site if you have a tent. The RV/trailer stream side sites are reserved for theeir seasonal campers.
