We stayed here for our first camping trip and loved it. The kids were wiped out the second day because there was so much to do! The bathrooms were always clean and the staff was very friendly. I would definitely recommend Normandy Farms! We have scheduled 4 more camping trips since!

Very clean campground. Very high priced! A little too high priced. It cost more to stay here than at Disney World in their campground! Sites are close together. You will need to make reservations very early as they are always full (or at least for large rigs (40 ft +)). Outside pools were not open but inside one was and was extremly croweded. We could hardly get in. CG is just crowded all the time, every where you go, childrens park, pools, rec hall, etc. Staff were very friendly but lack of knowledge of sites when calling for reservations. If you are put in the back of the campground, bring a bike, it is a little bit of a haul to get to any activities (pool, weight room, park). The main store is at the entrance which is a haul in itself for anyone at any campsite unless you are parked right near it. They should have a store centralized in such a large CG. Camp sites are very well kept and pretty level. Some even having some landscaping on it. Roads going in are tar and the dirt roads are very well maintianed also. Many activities for kids and has a nice touch for adults with an adult lounge for relaxing, reading, etc. I am sure I will be back some day to this campground, but I will not be in a hurry because of price and because of so MANY people! Just over crowded and expensive. For this price I want a site not so close to others and more relaxing atmosphere.

Stayed there during Easter Week. The place was huge and packed. Only indoor pool was open and you could just about find a few feet for yourself. The outdoor pools look very good but I got to believe they must be also crowded as well. Sites were nice and level. I had a pull through site. There a no walkways between the rows of sites so you need to walk all the way up to the end and then back down. Would stay again but it is overated.

We just got back from Lakewood and had a great time. We've been going to Lakewood for over 20 years now - so it holds a sentimental spot for us. This last trip, however, while still nice, wasn't as pleasant as our earlier trips. The place seems to stay packed all the time (we also go in August) and we were surrounded by 40' motorhomes. I don't have anything against large motorhomes, but it was almost like we were in a cave. The larger the RV's get - the less site space you have. People were having to park their tow vehicles and toads in from of their awning, leaving virtually no extra space to walk. I guess going in the offseason would solve most of these problems, but when you have kids in school - you have to follow their schedule. Anyway - it will be VERY crowded in July, so be prepared and I'm sure you'll have a great time.

This is a very well run campground with superior facilities. With this in mind, it was the most expensive campground and the smallest site I have stayed in from Maine to the Florida Keys. We had the choice between extending our slide or deploying the awning, but not both. When I made a reservation over one month in advance there were only three sites available. Most of the other sites are nicely sized. My complaint is not directed toward the facilities or employees working there, but directed at the pricing policy. A site that small should not be priced the same as one three times larger. If you stay there, be sure to ask about the size of the site. It was my experience that they won't tell you if you don't ask. I probably would have gone to another campground if I had known. I would definitely stay there again if I were guaranteed a normal site.

I think this is a great campground because there are three outdoor swimming pools and one indoor. The recreation hall is wonderful. There is a hugh central area with dozens of picnic tables. There is always something going on at night. They sometimes have a big pancake breakfast. Also they have a candy bar bingo. There are two loft areas. One is for adults to watch TV, read, or even surf the Web with complimentary dialup service with a computer. The other loft is for kids with many tables to play just about any board game imaginable plus a pool table. If you can't find something to do at Normandy Farms, you aren't looking.
