The campground was very small. There are only 21 campsites, and no privacy. All sites are too close together. The restrooms were barely clean, no hand soap. The trails were very nice for hiking. My family did the Friends Loop and it was breathtaking. I would visit Willard Brook for the beach area, day use and hiking only. I will not camp over night again!

Most of the campsites were VERY close together. There is absolutely no privacy except for a few sites. Some good points were the helpful, knowledgeable staff and the pleasant landscaping. We were in site #3 which was the largest and most private. Some of the other good sites were #7, 9, and 21. Most sites were very cramped. This is a small, tent or popup campground only. The sites are in a large pine grove forest, but very close together and nothing separating you from your neighbor. At a glance, you could easily see 10 to 15 sites. The campground is rated "primitive" as there are no showers. There are flush toilets and sinks. Restrooms were not clean, foul smelling, and needed updating. They were full of cobwebs, dead insects, and some graffiti. Very nice pond area for swimming. Lifeguard on duty. Clean sandy beach area, very clean fresh water. Nice shady picnic groves with large picnic tables and fireplaces. Very dry, split campfire wood sold at ranger station. There are nearby nature trails. Small towns in the area, but it is a great place for antiquing, hiking and nature walks. To sum up, this is not one of MA State Parks finest. Willard Brook is older and very small with a total of only 21 campsites, grouped very close together. The day use area is great and very clean. The cost for campsites is only $5 a day for Massachusetts residents, and $6 for out of state.
