Very pretty park with lots to do. We had site 46 which has to be the smallest in the park. Had a hard time getting into the site. Most of the other sites are large. Bathrooms were very clean. We stayed during the reenactment weekend at Fort Foster. Seminole war era. Enjoyed the park very much and will go back.

Had site #107 a PT. Sites are dirt with a lot of leaves covering the ground. Campground was installing new water spigots during our stay so some sites were torn up. Men's bathhouses in loop A were ripped up as well, women's was OK. Each site has water and fire ring/grill, with a picnic table. Loop A has a slide and 1 swing in center of loop. Last time we were in site #76 across from a brand new bathhouse. The power was intermittent and there were only 20 people camping in the park the week we were there. Hopefully that problem has been corrected by now. Nice trails to bike or walk. Large pool that is finally finished (it took about 8 months to fix) pool water is very cold (think spring water). Park now allows animals in all loops. There are fort tours and a free canoe trip with a ranger. Restaurant with pancake grills and ice cream. LazyDays RV store and camping World close by.

Large pool as someone stated, but very shallow, two foot all around and to 5 foot in the very middle, mostly good for children. Nice little store and restaurant at the pool. Lots of tree canopy, not much buffer between sites, but were roomy. The entrance was a tight squeeze for our wide body MO. Dump station line on the weekend was 45 min. wait, and there is hardly any room for the line of waiting camping rigs. Bath houses are a bit outdated but seemed clean enough.

Hillsbourough River SP is on US 301 and about 20 minutes away from BG. Large pool and nice, clean CG. Fishing and trails also. We spent a week there in March 2005 and only thing I disliked the whole week was actually going to Busch Gardens...

Nice park, we've only been camping here once. Bathrooms: A little outdated but clean enough Sites: sand/leaves little to no grass, nice tree canopy and plenty of shade. Electric/water, picnic tables and fire pits. Ample privacy. Other: shopping close by and plenty of activities at the park to keep you busy, lots of walking trails, very beautiful part of Florida. Very low lying area and campground easily floods, check with park during summer before making reservations.
