||Koa campgrounds are pretty much the same all over. Just a $1 or $2 higher than the average park but you know that you will get clean facilities and usually a lot of little extra amenities. Bob likes to compare them to the Howard Johnson chain of awhile back. "Fifty-two standards." In that, this park was no different, but the people differ everywhere and the employees here certainly went out of their way to welcome you and make you feel right at home. The camp store was well-stocked and the prices there were not unreasonably high. Everything seemed to be very fresh. 120 sites. 44 gravel, 76 grass. 90W, 34S, 90 E (20/50 Amps).
Camp store, swimming pool, restrooms, showers, laundromat, movies, mini-golf, stocked pond, pedal boats, basketball, horseshoes, playground, game room, mail service, pavilion, public phone. Rental cabins. Really beautiful campground. We were fortunate enough to get a site right on the pond. It was obvious that the people who laid this park out wanted to keep things natural looking.
Owner, Sylvia, checked us in. A delightful lady anxious to make your visit pleasant.
Everything was clean and well maintained. When we saw a yellow jacket nest near our campsite and mentioned it to the clerk she said they would take care of it the next day, and did.
