When you consider where you are, the place isn't bad. The sites are less than even and you'll need planks under your jacks. It isn't Ft Wilderness, but it has everything you need in the middle of nowhere.

Not a blade of green grass within miles. If you want to take a shower in their facilities, carry a pocket full of quarters with you. I think it cost me $2.00 to shower. I realize that we were in a desolate area and that explains the cost. We stayed two nights and would stay again only if I had no other chioce, which in that area there is this place and limited facilities inside Big Bend, which is very expensive. I had always wanted to go to Big Bend, now I wonder why?

Located at the west entrance of Big Bend National Park, near ghost town, hiking, scenic drives, boat trips to Mexico. Has restaurant, store, gas station and near only ATM in Big Bend area. Modem hook-up in office. If you want to stay outside of BBNP and have full hookups this is a good campground. We stayed a week and used the park as our homebase. Moderate price.
