We stayed here in Oct 2010 while my husband worked the power plant for a month. He worked the night shift, leaving me alone at nights. I found the park very clean, well kept, lots of lovely trees, and very safe for an elderly woman alone at night. There is a train that runs behind the park, but not that many trains pass and the noise has not disturbed us at night. The TV reception was good for local channels so we felt no need for cable. This is a perfect park for migratory workers! Shopping, banking, restaraunts, post office, are only minutes away.

We spend about 5 months each year in the Raleigh NC area and always stay at 70 East. Site managers Dora and Lester are pleasant and helpful. This is an older mobile home park slowly converting to a RV park as mobile home owners move out. The park accepts overnight stays, but is oriented toward longer term residents. Monthly rates usually include water, waste and 30A or 50A electrical with telephone and cable taps at most sites. (Residents make their own arrangements for telephone and cable service.) Many sites are satellite friendly for television and internet. So far there are no common facilities such as toilets, showers or laundries.

We came here to avoid Hurricane Isabel while we were staying in Virginia Beach, VA. The majority of the sites are occupied by full time mobile homes. They have 27 full hookup sites for transient RVers. It was difficult finding someone to check in with. Fairly east to get into. Interior roads were all paved. Nice trees and landscaping. The people who signed us in were pleasant. The park was clean but there were no facilities.
