We stayed 1 night at Headquarters Campground. It's very convenient. You can walk to Alma Beach to view the bay or to head into Alma for food. You can walk to a saltwater pool, the visitors center, hiking trails. The hookups worked fine. The bathrooms were clean. It was quiet. Campfires are not allowed here.

We camped across the USA and Canada this summer and this park was definitely the cleanest one we stayed in! The bathrooms are clean and warm and offer free showers! However, the sites are very close to one another and many are in open fields so check before you arrive to see if you can book are more wooded site. The park is pretty empty, even in the summer, which is a little odd but fine. There is nothing to do in the small town of Alma, however.

When you choose a campground at Fundy National Park, the ranger told us they offer two climates. Chignecto or Wolfe Lake offer heat and sun. Headquarters and Point Wolfe campgrunds are for cooler temperatures and sea breezes. We stayed at the Chignecto campground which is I think the largest one in the park and were glad to have the warmer temperatures in September. The sites were wooded with full hookup. We found the facilities to be very clean and will stay here again.
