We have stayed at this campground many times when in OKC for sporting events and the state fair and have allways been treated well. The new owners (last couple of years) have cleaned it up and we have a 45 ft. bus and have no trouble getting in and out.

There are three RV parks located in close proximity to the Council RD RV park, and I would rate this one second for facilities, First for Value, and a far dead last for employee friendliness. It is well kept clean, quiet, and in general a nice place lots of shade and it has very convenient access. However, most great places have their downfalls. This one has few repeat customers as the management is lacking social skills. The property is under New Management. A partnership between two relatives and they have three employees one secretary, one grounds person and one night watch. I recommend coming after hours. The secretary and one of the owners (the big guy) have less then desirable personalities, and god forbid you try to be polite or help anyone with their job. They will be quick to tell you. When you have overstepped your bounds, they prefer to make fools of themselves. Although it is common knowledge around the park that these two are just that way, and some things will never change. Also do read the rules carefully. During the hole time I was their I was terrified that I might sneeze after quiet hours. Also be aware of the unwritten rules there are a lot of those too. The other owner is a super nice guy, and so are the other two employees. All in all I enjoyed my stay but they removed the worry free feelings of being on vacation and it was a relief to be home. I know I wont be returning to this park even though it was a nice place, I will try the Rockwell RV park next time I am in town. DG Naples, Fl (Class A Coach)

102 sites, 58 pull-thrus (25X75), all full hookup (W/E/S), 30/50 amps, city water. Restrooms and showers, dump, security, public phone, laundry (open 24 hrs), ltd RV supplies, LP gas, pool (in season). Lighted pavillion. Storm shelter. It is directly in back of a truck stop and you can hear the trucks coming and going all night long. Getting into the park is very simple. I would describe this as a "strictly transient" park, although I saw several rigs that appeared they had been there for some time. Also, some of the trees might have made it difficult for really big rigs. The owner was very friendly, but some of the employees were not quite as friendly. The overall upkeep of the park seemed a little lax. The floors on the laundry and in the restrooms needed cleaning.
