I had never been to the oregon coast. I drove my rv from reno nevada. I drove into this park without notice to them. the woman at the desk was as lovely as they come. the place was out and out enchanted. My rv spot was large with a grassy area. i was right near the showers and laundry. the place was as quiet as a church. the beach was a stones throw from my rv. i walked thru a sand dune with both my doggies and there was an almost private beach with a cove and jetties and yes seals. I did not want to leave.

The grounds have been well taken care of with lots of flowers. Sites are grassy with a table and fire pit. There is a small beach area down a trail from the sites. There are no activities here and you pay for the showers though they are quite large and lots of warm water and pressure. The laundry room consists of one very old washer and dryer. Nice staff but don't expect them to pick up the phone and you may have to call several times as they aren't good about returning phone calls. There is lots to do in the area. We were here in a 5th wheel in June, 2006.

71 gravel sites, 20 pullthrus (30X60), back-ins(31X35), big rig sites. 71 full hookups (30/50 amps). City water, SATV, restrooms, showers($), laundry, ltd RV supplies, LP gas, firewood, ocean, saltwater fishing, swimming, horseshoes, rec hall, rec field. None of the sites have an ocean view. The closest sites are about 50 yards from the ocean. The "laundry" consisted of 1 washer (a large tumbler washer) and 2 dryers. Although it is open 24 hrs a day, I could see where there could be a problem if the park was filled. Roads into the campground were in great shape. It was very pleasant with lots of trees surrounding the campground. Ruth (owner) and the other gals that worked in the office were wonderful. Really obliging. Everything was kept very clean. There is a nearby State park called Shore Acres that has a lovely gardens. There are any number of places to go clamming, crabbing, or fishing. There is no license required to clam in this area. There is a shop called the Oregon Connection in town that features items made out of Myrtle Wood. This particular tree only grows in about a 100 mile radius of this area. It is very hard and makes some really beautiful pieces. They also have a free video, free coffee and free fudge tasting. In addition they give tours of the factory. Any of the pieces from here would be lovely.
