Our stay was 8/2/13 to 8/4/13. The park was clean, well lit with good facilities. The west loop is very cramped with no brush between the lots. The campers are parked so close it looks like a sales lot. We were instructed by the Dakota County Sheriffs (DCS) office that we absolutely can not park off the gravel. We were a part a group with teen-agers. Quiet time was 10 PM, which we were. But unfortunately the DCS office definition of quiet and the rest of the world differs. Both kids and parents were harassed, threatened and given citations for being too loud. The camp sites in the east loop are very private with lots of brush between the lots so very little sound can come from one another. The central area in the east loop is great with playground equipment. This would be a good for individuals that need total quite at 10 PM, for the rest of the world, DON"T GO!

The first couple of days we thought it was great. It was clean and out of the city. We said that we would definately stay again. The we were informed that the office was getting complaints that we were too noisy. we have 3 small children and were only around in the evenings. My children were no louder than any other child. If you have kids I would suggest finding someplace else to stay. This place is only for the snobs that own big diesel pushers and go to bed by 8pm. If you want to enjoy family time by a fire....forget it. Stay someplace else.

Very nice, well maintained county campground. Location is in the St Paul/Mpls metro and is close to the Mall of the Americas. Bathroom/showers are first rate and very clean. Sites are mostly level and roomy with full hook ups at all main sites. They also have 30a no hookup sites for smaller units and tents.

Very nice regional park. When we called for reservations the host said they had one available because the particular site was 'not that good'. Site was 2 down from the office, very clean, and more than adequate. We were very satisfied with it. We would recommend this to others and we would stay here again.

Lebanon Hills Regional Park Campground is located in a suburban setting near the Minnesota Zoo. The campground is 3/4 miles south of Cliff Road on Johnny Cake Ridge Road or 2 1/2 miles north of County Road 42 on Johnny Cake Ridge Road in Apple Valley, Minnesota (Dakota County) With a current population of more than 340,000, it is Dakota County is one the third most populous county in Minnesota. The campground has a variety of camping opportunities ranging from an RV section with complete hook-ups to a section for tents and small campers. We had a site with full hook-ups. Our cost was $132.00 per week (14 day maximum stay). The campground features diverse camping opportunities, on-site caretakers, modern handicap accessible showers, laundry, limited grocery/firewood sales, sanitary dump station, public telephone and a modem hookup at campground office. The area contains a nice stand of mixed hardwoods and excellent interior roads and camp spurs. The campground is open from April to October. We highly recommend this campground. The campground offers an excellent base for participating in the many activities available to the tourist in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. Lebanon Hill is just a short distance from the Minnesota Zoo, the Mall of America, the Science Museum of Minnesota, the Walker Art Center, The Old Log Theater, The Minneapolis Institute of Arts, and the Chanhassen Dinner Theater.
