The campground itself was ok although most sites are for permanent and the overnight sites are in the middle of a grassy area with no trees and no privacy. Flies and mosquitoes were really bad and the train runs right through the campground (all night long). Very difficult to sleep. Nice bathrooms and showers.

Level back-ins on gravel, water and electric, dump station, some sites right on Mississippi River and all sites have view of river. Modem hook-up in office. Clean park. Washing RV's OK. Boat ramp and fishing in river. Near railroad tracks. A short drive to Prarie du Chien and Villa Louis, museums, Effigy Mounds National Monument and Isle of Capri Casino. Passport America book says half-off rate of $10 for one night only, but manager let us stay ten days at that rate. Inexpensive.
