Stayed in Holmes Bend Campground. This is a Corps of Engineers campground, located at the upper end of Green River Lake. It is a very nice, well maintained campground with app 125 sites. Most of the sites are shaded, 41 sites have water and electric, 23 sites are primative and the other 61 sites have electric. All the sites have a picnic tables and are graveled. Some pull through sites are available. The campground has two well maintained bath houses and a very nice playground for the kids. Most of the campground is level so bike riding is not a problem. One small grocery store is located about a mile from the campground and larger stores are located in Columbia or Campbellsville about 20 miles away either north or south. There is a full service marina at the lake along with launching facilities for boaters. Cabins are also available for rent. The only problem I have ever found with this campground is the ticks in the springtime. I have stayed here many times while hunting and have found it to be most enjoyable. Very nice campground.

Received from Pappy for visit in 2005
