need gravel on the island you pay 10.00. firepit never clean. Bees really bad and snakes pretty heavy last year and this year. we love the water. but alot of cleaning up all over. people need to be fined for littering. we have stayed all over the lake and at the main camp grounds with electric and water. Actually been going for last 10+ years. not as clean at the camping sites. but i know how to pick up trash. love the lake very much.

Marked down from excellent - I would like to stay here sometime, but have never been able to get in (full all the time). Ohio Navy fills this campground up. Needs to be doubled in campground size so us locals can get in - at least once in a while. Lake comes up to campground at some sites. Beach is at Dam Spillway a short driving distance away. Parking is hard to find on summer weekends.

Stayed in Holly Bay Campground. This is another Corps of Engineers campground located on Laurel Lake at the dam. About 20 miles west of I-75 at the London-Corbin, KY exits. My wife and I stayed there this past spring for a week. It is a very nice, clean, well kept campgroung, that centers itsself around fishing or water sports. The campers have their own ramp to launch boats, a marina is close by, along with a few small convenient type stores. It is about the same distance to Somerset, Corbin, or London if you want to find any major stores. The marina at Holly Bay is a full service marina that rents everything from john boats to 60' houseboats. They also have gas and a few groceries. The campground it sort of rolling and has plenty of shade, the bathrooms are well maintained and clean. Most of the sites are gravel, level, with a tent pad and picnic table. The terrain will give you a workout for walkers or bike riders, but nothing to bad. This is a very good campground if you have a boat or plan on renting one, also a good campground if you just want to relax.
