Be sure and call ahead for reservations as they are very popular with local fisherman. Most of the time the park is easy to get into. However, there are times when the water canals back up and flood the park.
This is one of the prettiest parks we have been in. Lots of mature trees and water flowing around the park. We were in the height of the mosquito season and there were so many beautiful dragonflies that we didn't have a problem.
These folks were like family. Geneva is the matriarch and tries to mother everyone. She is warm and generous and will go out of her way for you. Fred is the park guard-dog (figuratively). However his growl belies the good heart he has underneath. (Just don't tell him I said so).
The park is older and needs a lot of maintenance. However, everything is kept clean and neat. |
