Very large sites. Nice bathrooms that are not cleaned often. No chairs at the pool. We use it for our college camping trip every year.

The site was big and had water and electric. One bad thing about the site is that the electric is right next to the water. In my opinion that could be a hazard but maybe I am wrong. The bathrooms were a bit scary I wouldn't take a shower barefoot in there (wear flipflops). It looks like they never really clean the bathrooms. Very buggy and worn and dirty. I showered in there twice and it didn't even look like they picked up the womens room. But I guess that's what you get.

Went on a weekend as a group. The place was filled to capacity, there where a few camp sites that were getting loud and crazy. The security in the park made sure that they quiet down but still allowed them to have fun. The campsites are very affordable and it doesn't really matter which site you get it's still big. I've been to Red Oak 4 times now and definetly will be staying many times to come.

Love it here!!! Secluded sites, open area sites, places for RV's, everything. There aren't rangers that come around all the time to bother you unless you give them a GOOD reason. Good place to spend a weekend with a bunch of friends or family. The only thing I would change is the amount of bathrooms. There aren't very many around. Other than that, I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Roads inside the park were dirt and very poorly maintained. Lots of pot holes. Also, the speed bumps were very high.
The park was very pretty with lots of trees.
The check-in person was polite but certainly less than friendly.
Grass was cut in most places but not trimmed. There were garbage cans all over the park, but most of them hadn't been emptied for at least a week. The restrooms were fairly clean but poorly maintained. The laundry was in the basement of the office which was accessed by a long dark tunnel.
The potholes and large speed bumps made it difficult getting out.
This campground listed several strange items I had not seen anywhere else:
Speed limit is 5 mph on all campground roads. $25 fine for speeding.
Do not cut down any trees. There is a $200 fine per tree.
So not burn picnic tables. There is a $200 fine per table. On their listing they indicate that they have a modem line, however, they do not.
If you need to get "on-line" just go north on Hwy 12 from the park to Hwy. 12 Internet Cafe. They have computers you can use or you can use your own laptop. Charge is very reasonable, plus they have great coffee drinks. They address is 49 So Wisconsin Dells Pkwy. There is a restaurant in Baraboo called the Log Cabin. The food there was very good and large portions.
