Very Rude staff. The appear all friendly when you walk in and once they have your money, look out! Very unprofessional. I watched kids and adults being snickered at after they left the front office. This is a big campground with very limited staff. Pools are way too small for the number of guests it has to accommodate. My recommendation is to look elsewhere for the money is not worth it here.

We camp here quite often and have seen dramatic improvements over the last 5 years in all areas of the park. New pools, new electrical and drainage as this used to be an issue, but no more. Great activities for the kids too. I would disregard old postings

2006 was our second year at this campground and enjoyed it tremendously despite the rather wet weather which made it hard for the campground to be kept dry. Staff friendly, services excellent and many improvements made regularly making this our favourite in all 12 years we have had sites which were seasonal.

Not very friendly, stay away if you don't like dogs barking all day long, no control here people always cutting across your site, the lots are too small, very muddy and way too expensive, not worth the $50.00 + a night. I've been here often in the past five years and the campground is still a mess. I do not recommend this campground especially if you want peace and quiet.

Not your typical KOA, very muddy seems like the campground was built on a septic bed or swamp, bad odours all the time, very expensive$$, stay away if you are on a budget, the pools are too small and can only accomodate about 30 to 40 people max and that's being generous. Even if you make reservations here the price when you check in may not be the same(higher). The long weekend of October they imposed charge of an extra $12.00 per site for a tent rental for a thanksgiving dinner but gave us the option to cancel will full refund, the sad part is we only found out about this the week before arrival and left us choice no other option because their was no vacancy at the other campgrounds. The Kingston KOA is must nicer and no suprises, the Ivy Lea KOA may have received awards for their swimming pools but that's the only thing that's decent at this campground. Not recommended look elsewhere there alot nicer campgrounds close by.

We stayed at the 1000 Islands Ivy Lea KOA on July 10 & 11 2006. This campground needs a lot of work. The main problem is the size of the campsites! We were camping in a tent. When we checked in she gave us a map and sent us off to find site 81. Site 81 was a little patch of grass on the side of the road with just enough room for your tent to be pitched a foot from the road and the firepit. If you didn't catch your tent on fire you would probably get clipped by a giant RV coming down the road! So we went back and told them to give us another site. We ended up out in the middle of the field on a campsite that was so rocky we couldn't get our tent pegs in. We ended up moving down the road sticking pegs in the ground until we found a soft spot! This campground promotes their pools on their website which makes sense because that is really all that is at this campground. And the pool area is very nice. Two fiberglass pools - one salt water are great with the waterfalls and the wooden lounging chairs. HOWEVER- they are very small! Don't be fooled by their pictures. They are not big enough for the amount of people passing through this tiny field. Unless you enjoy swimming in kid infested waters don't get too excited about them. The salt water pool has a waterslide so you will have kids landing on your head nonstop. I would estimate that the salt water pool is about 6 feet wide and the regular pool is maybe 10 feet wide at the widest part. The one really great thing about their pool is the Adult Only Hot Tub! It is huge! And very hot with a waterfall. The bathrooms are big and clean. Overall, I would not recommend this park.

Pros: Water & electric, hot tub, games room, movie area, great spot for a group even tho very open. The owners and staff treated our group very well. Scenic area. Cons: Not our first choice in camping styles but great for a group!

I wasn't that impressed. The sites are too close. We were traveling with friends so we looked at eachother, but if that wasn't the case we would have had to be VERY friendly with the neighbors. Our awnings just about touched. And it was muddy and wet. The pool area was shut down for the time we were there, so that was a dissapointment. We were expecting better from a KOA. We will look else where the next time.

Pros: Yep, another KOA. My reputation is going to suffer. But this is a great setup for a Halloween outing with a bunch of Magical Flying Camper Club friends. The owners of the park treated us like royalty, even keeping the pools and hot tubs open for us this late into the season. They did a ton of work on the aquatic area - quite a "wow" factor. Cons: Mud. Mud mud mud mud. It was a very wet weekend and drainage was non-existent in our part of the park. I hear they're going to be fixing that problem, which is good news.
