The people at check in were friendly enough. But the security at this part were very rude to us. The rest rooms had bugs just laying on the counter till after 3 in the afternoon. In the rest room I used 2 of the 3 stalls did not even lock. The rest rooms were not cleaned until 3 in the afternoon. They keep their showers locked from 11:30pm till 7:30am. So for us early riser all you could do was wait for the showers. We will never camp here again, nor would recommend it to anyone else.

I agree, this campground isn’t worth describing but it was one of the only ones available during the weekend in which my family and I wanted to camp. The camp site can best be described as extremely small with a very limited area in which to camp or set up. The amenities provided are a swimming pool, club house and play ground. The play ground is located in the middle of the park with screaming kids. The camp sites surround the playground with parents screaming from their respective site to the playground to get their kids. As an avid camper who enjoys peace and quiet, this is NOT the place for such. My suggestion, make arrangements earlier in the season and call to the other camp grounds in the area. Although I haven’t been to the State Park, I will definitely try that one out next time. Lastly, this place was too costly for what we received.

In our opinion this campground isn't worth describing, but for everyone out there who wants to know more here it is. There are 150 total sites with water & electric on all of them. (Some of them were full of grumpy seasonal campers.) The sites were partially shaded, tight and sandy. The bathroom facilities were horrible. They were dark & dirty and had huge spiders living in every nook and cranny. My wife wouldn't even take a shower without me there to splatter the spiders. The office and camp store looked like it could possibly collapse. There were fire rings on all the sites and they were selling green firewood. The only good thing I can think of is they had a 340ft water slide for the kids and the campground is located in a beautiful scenic part of michigan. Silver lake and the sand dunes are close by so if you have toys and don't plan on spending much time back at camp, go for it! We will not return.
