The staff at Sleepy Hollow were very nice. Check in was very quick and they didn't give me a map or directions to the site, but we found it okay We camped on site #98 in the north campground. It was a big site with a level blacktop pad, fire ring and picnic table. It was clean and surrounded by tall grass and trees which gave you some privacy. It did not offer much shade until late afternoon. It was also about 100 feet to the electric hook-up so make sure you have a long enough extension cord. (heavy gauge cord if you have one) Most of the sites in the campground pretty much offered the same environment. They were all clean and secluded. The restrooms looked to be pretty clean. One thing I did have a problem with was there were no hand towels, paper dispensers, or blowers to dry your hands. On Sat morning everyone got ice cold showers between 6am to about 9:30am. Sunday morning they were nice and hot. We were told they were working on them sat and had fixed them during the night. So thank you Mr. plumber. In my opinion this park was pretty decent. The sites were on the big side and offered plenty of privacy. Despite the cold showers on Saturday and the missing hand dryers the restrooms were pretty clean for the whole weekend. The beach was not much of a beach, but it kept the kids busy. I would say if they brought in a truckload of sand and got rid of the geese doo doo we could make a day of it. The playground could also use an update. All in all it was okay and we would probably return for another weekend sometime in the future.
