This is a nice private campground where the owners do not put up with a lot of the bs that happens in other campgrounds. It has some negatives, such as not having a lot of amenities and also paying to take a shower, but if you want a nice setting from which you can base your operations, this is a way to go for not a lot of money. Close to good golf, shopping, antiquing, dinners and other points of interest. I agree that the workers are not the friendliest, but I have seen much worse at other sites and if you are cordial, they return the favor. If you are in the area, take the time and ask to just drive through in order to find a good campsite for your future visit, as not all of the sites will work as advertised for your camper length. Also, this campground is usually booked well in advance of certain festival dates in Frankenmuth.

Narrow roads. not very warm and friendly, constant surveillance by park security for water usage, being on grass, driving car or bike on one way streets not a very busy park , very poor attitude towards short term camping. Silly rule signs everywhere

We came to this park because it was Memorial weekend and we were planning on shopping at Birch Run and dinner in Frankenmuth.Spoke with a woman named Donna that she would not charge for my girls and their finance because they were not staying here with us but for an hour or two. We arrive at 4:00 setup and left for dinner. Came back around 8:00 and was told that we had to pay for my girls to come in. Needless to say we did not and then we were harrassed several times for the 1 hour they were there by knocks atv thedoor complaining and harrassing us. When we left the next day we were given the fingure by a elderly man on a golf cart. I would not recommend this park to anyone. Very unprofessional employees and owner.

We absolutely love this campground. Well kept and friendly owners. Super clean restrooms and facilities. Close to all attractions in Frankenmuth and Birchrun. We come here at least three times per season. Large and easy pull thru sites with full hook-ups. Nice and quiet.

We have camped all over the united states ,nova scotia,Main and so on and never have we been treated and harrassed so much as we were there, My wife is handicap and we were harrased so much we left early. Everyday we were told u cant do this or that park here dont kill the grass mind u this is the end of october the grass is dormat. We ever raked the lot before we parked in the spot.So in no way was we going to kill the grass. We were called names by the grounds keeper and when we ask for a refund for the days we were not going to be their we were told to leave !! this is a campground to avoid at all cost

We love this campground. The lots are very nice size and 90% are pull thru's & all are full hook up. This is a campground for people who want peace and quite. Note: they only have a small play ground for kids, but the office does advise that when you call for reservations. The staff is most helpful with anything that goes wrong & can help even with RV ER repair work. they have a service that comes right to the site & he can repair you RV same day since there also is a General RV store less than 5 miles away. The managers are very strict about people parking on the grass, they take great care in keeping the grass as "grass" that is why they do this. They don't want the grass turning into a "parking spot". The lots are all very deep so parking should not be a problem with some lots were you can park 2 very large motor homes with a veh on the graveled area. We have been going to this campground for years for at least once a month & totally enjoy the quietness. Yes the showers are coin operated but you get about 5 minutes for a quarter and the water is hot all the time. The bathrooms are "open" all night we have never scene them closed, with the exception they were cleaning them but they will still let you use them. They are the cleanest I have ever scene & even cleaner than some peoples homes. Yes they are strict with there check out times because they have a great turn around time for others coming in. There are a lot of retires who come there whom all they do is travel in there motor homes. The vast majority of sites are very level and the site we take all 7 time through out the summer is level. We arrived one year & they were having severe storms and all we had to do is drop the jacks, and put out the slide and we were done. The mangers saw us doing this in the rain and even held a flashlight while were setting the trlr up!!! So as you can see we truly love this campground and you can't go wrong by the night rates of $34 per night. They have kept this rate since 2007 and is still the same this year 2010. Can you tell me were any other campground does this!! We used to be faithfull KOA people but they just got way to expensive. We loved going there since it was only 1/2 hr away from our home and went here for our 2 week vacaiton every year, but now with them keeping there rates still the same since 2007 we have made our 2010 reservations for 6 vists there. They also have a great 7 day rate that gives you almost a 2 night discount!! Sorry for the long review but just wanted to give the reason of the other reviews about the grass parking and bathroom situation. happy camping!!!

Ok---first of all, the campground is quiet, pretty and kept up well. The bathrooms are very clean and the grounds are kept up nice. There are a few things that really need to change about this place though. The playground could use better equipment because it's the only place for kids to play here - but that isn't too big of a deal. The issues that we DID have were the fact that the fire pits do not have a concrete rim around them. they are like little holes in the ground with a metal ring. This is a very dangerous set up and needs attention. In the dark, it is very easy to accidentally step into one of them--potentially causing serious harm (especially if it has hot ash in it). We had a child in our group that fell into it because he didn't see it and had a semi-severe gash on his head with blood everywhere. Luckily, we hadn't used that firepit for our campfire. Lastly, the bathrooms close at night. This is very inconvenient for people that cannot use their bathroom in their camper for whatever reason or for people that do not HAVE bathrooms in their camper. How do you tell a child that he cannot go to the bathroom during the night? That needs to change. Oh and pay showers are kind of ridiculous...with free hookups for water, why would they charge for showers? Anyhow---I DO feel that it is a nice campground, We will stay there again, but I'm not sure others will because of these problems. Hopefully someone from this campground will read this and make some changes. It is a beautiful place!

We have camped many times at Pineridge Campground and have really enjoyed our stay. The campground is quiet, restful and it gave us a chance to relax after our hectic schedule of work. When we were here over the 4th of July as well as Labor Day, the campground was full. And even when purchasing wood it arrived in a timely matter even with the fullness of the park. The sites are all nice, but there are a few that I like better, but thats my personal preference. We are returning in October for out last time out this season. Make your reservations early if you have a favorite site!

We chose this campground because it was close to a wedding we were attending in Birchrun. The campground was nice but it seemed strange that it was empty until we met the owner who travels around in a little cart and complains about everything. Then it all made sense. We are glad we will have no reason to revisit this campground.

This campground has 157 full hook up sites with 95 that are pull thru. It is also very clean and quiet. The hookups are exactly where they should be, making hookup a snap without having to run long hoses or extension cords. The bathroom facilities are kept very clean at all times and the showers are nice big family style showers that are coin operated. (If I didn't know any better I would think they used a toothbrush to clean everything.) All the sites in the campground are partially shaded. They are pretty level and have decent sized fire rings. I would guess that the smallest site in the campground is 40ft deep and at least 30 ft wide. There is a playground that is really outdated and a pavilion, but no pool. Pine Ridge is in a tourist area within walking distance of mini golf, go carts and paddle boats. They are 3.9 miles from Frankenmuth and Bronners' Christmas Wonderland and 2.5 miles from the Birch Run Factory Outlet Mall. We have camped here eight times and the only problems we've encountered were minimal. One time the power went out for about an hour and another time the hot water tank for the showers broke leaving us with no showers until noon. No biggey though..... we survived. The only other thing I can think that may be bad is the campground owner or managers. They go bonkers if you park on the grass and they are real strict about checking out on time. All in all we really like this campground and will go back many times in the future.
