Very neat park, close to Casino. They use real money and cards there. It is across the Mississippi river from the Gate Way Arches. Very tricky to get into. Lots of one way streets, and low bridges. GPS Got us there but still a night mare. Security good, very poor area of East St. Louis. Ok over all. Dont ever plan to go to St. Louis again, but would stay at the Queen again.

We stayed at the park twice in Apr 2008 in a 29 ft. travel trailer. Our site was on the side of the park with larger sites. Our sites were fairly level with all hook ups functioning. Every one of the staff that we interacted with on the phone and in person was friendly and helpful. The Casino security, shuttle van drivers and landscaping crews all waved as we walked or drove past them. The mini mart is well stocked and we found the staff very friendly. The restrooms and shower were clean and simple (3.5 on a scale of 1 to 5). A note on that shower said to let the water run 3 to 5 minutes to get warm. The faucets are the kind that you have to push to turn on and then shut off after a few seconds. That makes shaving and brushing your teeth a challenge. Not many people appear to use the shower facilities like we've seen in parks and rustic campgrounds. The men's restroom had two sinks; one sink was not working. The restrooms and laundry are accessible with a card key that is provided when you check in. Shuttle service is available to the Casino and to the MetroLink. Pedestrians can walk across the river bridge -- it's a long walk. We didn't use the MetroLink or walk across the bridge this trip yet plan to on future stays. The campground does have trains that pass by, planes that fly over, and traffic on the Interstate highways by it. However, the noise didn't interfere with our sleep. The biggest disappointment was that the only Internet connectivity the campground offers is through a dial up connection. The sites are well maintained yet the two we stayed in had several discarded cigarette butts outside from previous campers. We will definitely stay at this RV park again. We find it a great option for stopping for the night as we are enroute to other destinations and for those times when we want to spend a few days visiting St. Louis. We felt very safe during our stays because Security does have a strong 7x24 on-site presence. During our stay, the many trees were in full bloom with white blossoms.

This RV park was newer, modern, conveniently located, and cheap. The sites were a bit on the small side, but overall a nice place.

Mostly level paved pull-thrus, full hook-ups including cable (phone $20 wk), modem hook-up in office, convenience store, shuttle to casino. Metro station by casino for rides downtown to Arch, museums, Busch Stadium. Near all St. Louis attractions. Campground is clean and fenced with security. Daily price expensive, weekly rate was $150.
