Great campground. Sites up on the hill are big wide and level. Huge sites! I have never stayed in a park with as large a site as these had. There was a berm between each site with trees and underbrush, very private. Sites in the older part were nice but not as large or private. There were planned activities and we had a blast making tie dyed t-shirts, doing leather tooling and painting ceramics. 2 large pools one with a spa. Never used the bathrooms but the camp was clean with a well stocked camp store. We are headed back there this year.

This is our favorite Lancaster campground. The pools are heated after September and the hot tub is great. Don't bother bringing bikes because of limited riding spaces due to hills. We go here every year and never have been disappointed. We love the rec guide John Boy.

We stayed here in August and it rained the entire weekend with thunderstorms included. Even though the weather did not cooperate with us, we still had a good time here. They have fishing ponds, swimming lake with beach area, and an outdoor pool. The outdoor pool is up with the full hook-up area. The drive to get to it from below is quite far and up one of the biggest hills I have ever seen in a campground. We walked up it and were quite tired by the end. The bathhouses were good. The showers were outside the bathrooms and easily accessible. They have a mini-golf course which was OK. They also have an onsite day spa and workout area. Our site was nice and flat and next to the fishing pond. They had picnic tables that were covered by a wooden roof which was nice on our rainy weekend. It is one of the more pricey campgrounds you will find. I gave it a good rating because we did not feel we had a much better time here than other campgrounds at a much lower cost. Overall though, we still had a nice time.

Our family loves this place. You can get a large wooded campsite with a lot of privacy, but still have access to tons of activities for the kids. Make sure you get the wooded sites up on the hill. We'll be back.
