I would not recommend this campground for over nighters. It was overpriced and no discounts. The pull through sites were way to short and hard to get into and out of. There were cigerette butts all over the ground and trash every where. Even a broke open trash sack with everything scattered. The woman on duty was not friendly and was almost rude when I asked about dicounts. the roads inside the park were not in very good condition.

This is a quiet, no frills campground with partial shade, full hookups and a pool. It is off I68 at the same exit as Rocky Gape State Park. We prefer this to the over priced state park campground. Fewer trees than the state park, but full hookups and it was less expensive. Clean restrooms/showers. Have some seasonals. The ones we met were extremely nice. We did go to the state park to fish and swim in the lake. Not much to do in the area except visit the Western Maryland Scenic Railway in Cumberland. But they are talking about shutting that down. Maryland's attitude is "if it isn't Ocean City then who cares". Cumberland was pretty well empty when we were there. They fixed a shopping area up (pic 2) but nothing much was going on there. Good campground to just relax.
