We had a great time with our kids at the park. Jean at the desk was very helpful and the campground looks very well maintained. The kids spent all day on the lake with our Jetskis while my husband and I hung out at the pool. We will definitely be back!

Directions on website should be better. They did take us to our campsite. But when we plugged up to the 50amp service we lost half of our motorhome power. Next morning we called the office to see if someone could come down to check the electric box they said it was ok but it wasn't the electrian was wrong. Even our batteries where losing charge. So we got some phone numbers of Rv repair service but couldn't get anyone out. So when we checked out on Monday when we started up generator everything started working and when we got home all etectrical was working in our 50amp service. With their readings it could of cost us a lot of money and damage to our motorhome. When we called them back we talked to the manager and owner and they were very rude about refunding us some money back for not having the service we requested and paid for. Now about the place it was very dusty. Not enough dumpsters. They only have 2 restrooms which is not enough for as many people there was. Plus to far you had to drive every time unless you had a close campsite. Not enough lighting around campground. The staff when you asked how to get somewhere they really did not know their area. We was thingking about buying a lot there but after what we saw and what we went through we decided this is not the place.

Everyone was most helpful, they even guided us to our site and helped me back in (kept us from backing over utilities). Losts of walking paths (eight) to go over with dogs. Game room, small refreshment stand in Game Room selling Pizza, ice cream, soft drinks, coffee. Also had waffles (commercial type) for breakfast. Small lake with lots of cleared shoreline for fishing. Two beaches on LAke Logan Martin - one for pets and owners and the other for folks without pets. Piers on Lake Logan Martin to tie boats or fish from. Small swimming pool that opens Mothers' Day weekend. Restrooms kept very clean - almost to quality of Ft Wilderness at Disney World. Very nice playground for kids with slides, basketball, volleyball and horseshoes. Can rent paddle boats on small lake at main camping area. We were there 3 days and plan to go again since it is a 45 min drive from home and most restful. We stayed in an area with 14 campsites away from the main area. Lots of folks on Friday evening and Saturday at main area and we enjoyed the area where we stayed with our two pups...not as much traffic or noise.

The lake sites were gravel and level, but if you were not lakefront, it was grass and bumpy, making leveling a job. The concrete patios didn't line up with the utilities (electric/sewer/water), on the site, requiring at least a 20' sewer hose, which they readily said they had for sale, in the office. This is DEFINITELY one of the most secure campgrounds I've ever seen...complete with tire spikes, if you try going in the exit!! There's no way you're going to get a vehicle in there that they don't want in there. The "Captain" and his crew were ever-present, making rounds through the park, though they weren't very friendly, after check-in. It was very aggravating to be given a code when you checked in, only to find that it had changed the next morning AFTER you had exited the campground and were trying to get back IN!

We went with a large group from our camping club (Outbackers.com). The staff was very helpful at setting up the reservations. The campsites near the fishing pond were generally level. The utilities were in good repair. The bathhouse was clean and well stocked. The beach on the lake was nice. The pool was not opened yet but appeared to be clean and had a nice clubhouse (or at least I think it is a clubhouse) attached to it. The staff had a theme weekend of "Pirates" and they were certainly putting themselves into it. I have only two quibbles: 1. One of our members had to arrive late and there was no way they would allow us to check him in early and get him set up. He dry camped just outside the gate until 9AM (sharp). 2. The gate code changed daily but we had to get the new code each day, instead of them deciding on it ahead of time and giving it to us up front. Generally, a good value. My kids liked the lake. Yes, I did see someone pull three bass out of the lake. There are also a lot of turtles.

This campground is perfect for Racing Fans (close to the Talladega Super Speedway) and families with young children. We took my nieces with us on this trip and they had a blast. The owners had scheduled activities each day for the younger kids. The pool area was nice and the bath houses were clean. I would give a "5" but during our 3 day stay I did not see anyone catch a fish in the "stocked pond".
