We camp on the North Shore where there are no hook ups, sites or firepits. Its bring your own gear and set up where ever you want. The plus is you are on the side of the lake and only a few feet from getting wet. There are outhouses and water available. It gets rowdy on long weekends so during mid weeks is best. You can moor your boat at your site. Fun for the family.

San Antonio Lake is one of two lakes nestled in the hills west of Paso Robles. This is a great place if you love nature, and who doesnít. You cannot spend much time at all without spotting deer (Lots of deer), squirrels, red headed woodpeckers, and a variety of other bird life I didnít know existed. The sites are well laid out and spacious amongst the trees. The clearance under the trees can be marginal in some spots though. There is a marina with fuel, a small supply store, and launch ramps to launch your water toys, fishing boat or ski boat. We were in the area with a clubhouse, which came in handy since it rained off and on all weekend. It was a nice warm refuse with refrigerators, stove, and TV.
