We have been coming to Fidalgo Bay Resort for the past 3 years. We have never found the staff or management anything but friendly and responsive to our requests. We love it there and will continue to return. The last time we were there (August of 2009) they had put little picnic shelters on many of the sites in the upper area and made those sites extra wide, we have reserved one of those sites for next summer. This park is always very clean and well maintained.

Upon Arriving we asked if we had to check out early would that be ok, we often have to because of my wifes business, they said just simply give us some notice. When we asked to check out 2 days before our schedule departure date they said no and simply offered that verbal contracts are not valid, when we reminded them of what they said they called the manager, Jean, when she approached us she simply said angerly ' I'm not even going to talk to you about this, I'll refund your money but never come back to this campground again' I can't think of any other way to explain this other than this woman came unglued. I would recommend staying at Pioneer Trails Which is only a few miles away and avoid Fidalgo Bay Resort like the plague.

We have stayed there 3 times over the years. We have a friend that lives in Anacortes and he makes our reservations for us. The last stay was June 2005. We prefer the lower level near the laundry/meeting building. The area is or was well maintained.

At the time I went, they did not require deposits. It looks like now they are requiring FULL deposits. If it weren't for this, I would go back! I loved it there! Nice large park, good wireless. At the time of my visit, I had a waterfront spot, and liked it, but I would be just as happy with a back spot (which would be cheaper).

Not sure of what the status is as it has been sold to the local Inidan tribe. But it was good - very clean. You want to be in the lower (close to the bay) section. There is a large refinery kinda to one view out but we did not find it to be an issue - got wonderful sunset pictures and it was not even close to being in them.
