So narrow they were going to move an rv out so I could get in. Roads were very narrow and I scraped limbs. For 120.00 a night you expect much more. They did refund my deposit. If you want to know how a sardine feels, this is the place.

Stayed at Boyds even after reading not so good reviews as this was our first camping experience in the Keys. I liked the place so well that we will be back next year. The camping spots are close, but no closer than some others we have been to. Everything was extremely clean. The views are very nice and the tent areas are only in places they cannot fit RV's. The fee is extremely high for camping, but if you can get it I guess you charge it. It is very close to downtown Key West. I had a motorcycle trailer behind my 36 motorhome, and they parked the trailer in the trailer lot and did not charge extra.

Boyd's is one of those campgrounds that seems to rely more heavily on it's location than it's amenities in order to attract campers. Although it advertises itself as "Boyd's Key West Campground", it is located NOT in Key West but on Stock Island (north of Key West). The $90 per night "ocean-front" (actually inlet) sites were small and crowded. The water faucet at the pedestal was a mere FOUR INCHES away from the electric plug-in (I measured it), there is no Wi-Fi, the sewer pipe feed is not threaded, they charge extra for everything imaginable, and they have a large number of tent campers sprinkled about the campground. While the office staff was very nice and helpful, their courtesy did little to ease the pain of being stung for $100 per night in a cramped site next to tent campers. We will not return to this park and STRONGLY suggest that anyone who is considering staying here look to other parks.

Very tight and small back-ins on grass and sand, some sites on water, most sites have hook-ups, some have sewer, cable included, daily planned activities, friendly staff, city bus near entrance, modem access 24 hrs, No washing rigs or vehicles. Near boating, fishing, and all Key West activities and attractions. Our site was so short the motorhome's mirrors were in the road, we had to pay for a full hook-up site (W/E/S) but we had no sewer. Office said they would send truck to pump us out. We could not use our washer. We checked out the other campgrounds in Key West and Boyd's was the best. VERY EXPENSIVE. We paid $56 a night plus 11.5% tax for a total of $62.44 a night. The most we had paid in our 2 1/2 years of fulltiming was $26.
