Small park, only 24 sites, shaded mostly, about four pull-throughs. There are some cement pads and walkways, so it is very accessible. The hiking trails are very short, not strenuous at all. I have two bad knees, so I as happy to be able to do all of the trails. There is adequate benches along the way and a charming lake where kids can swim in a roped off area. At the beginning of the trail there was a large pavilion, picnic tables, grills, a nice restroom, water fountain and drink machine. At the lake there was another restroom facility, very nice. The campground for only having 24 sites is very well laid out. The rangers and hosts are very helpful and friendly. Ranger Scott Sweeney gave a very entertaining history and herpetology program on Saturday. The campground bathhouse and restroom had warm & cold faucets, even on the dishwashing station!

Older Florida state park. This is a small state park that is centered around Florida's highest waterfall. Several nice (but short) hiking trails. Also has a small swimming area. The campground is older with 30 amp service. Most sites are not suitable for larger rigs but there are about 4 or 5 that could handle a 4 footer although it would be a tight squeeze. Most sites are nicely shaded with private patio areas.

Took our three kids tent camping for three days, two nights. Park was CLEAN, spacious and just wonderful. Not many sites, about 30 in all. Only a couple pull thrus from what I noticed. Has a small lake to swim in, good playgrounds for the kids, and the best park, it has Florida's largest waterfall-yeah, we've got a waterfall here! There are great boardwalks around it and around some caves and sink holes. It's all within a pine forest and it had good shade. Town of Chipley has antique shops AND and an RV dealer where, after packing up the tent Friday, we went there and bought our first PU! There was a clothes line at each site to hang your wet items. It is also within a 20-30 minutes drive from Ponce De Leon Springs State Park (can't camp there, though).

We stayed here for 3 nights. Our electricity was on the correct side, but the water connection is shared by two sites and of course, ours was on the wrong side. Also it was a long way from our site. We were able to borrow a water hose from some friends. The restrooms were in good condition and clean, and also had heat. The grounds were in good condition and the park rangers were very friendly.

This campground is snuggled back in the woods of this relatively small state park; It is completely wooded with towering pine trees, but only 24 sites that are not really suitable for big rigs; We were very lucky to be able to find a gap in the trees to get satellite access (Site 16). Could handle big rigs, but not at all set up for them since it is probably 50 years old with few changes; Still, we made it in and others did as well. Water and 30 amp electric only; no sewer hook-ups. Also, electric hook-up is on wrong side. Personnel was very nice, especially Ranger Scott Sweeney; Florida State Park Website is good, but don't let the photo of the falls entice you - it only flows like that after a whole lot of rain; bathhouse was very clean and there were two showers in each bathroom. We loved the seclusion and quiet of this campground; It was nature as we like it; But based on our criteria, we could only give it a 3 since it did not have full hook-ups or laundry facilities, and it is in need of updating; The setting and the three nights complimentary camping got it up to a 3, but we just could not justify a 4.
