I would grade this as a low three or high two. Park is nice and has many activities (swimming, hiking, golf, horse riding). Actual campground is mediocre. The staff was helpful in suggesting a better site than we would have picked on our own. Grounds are not as well kept as they should be (FL state parks are much nicer). Kids enjoyed swimming in the lake. Recommend a site to the right from the entrance. They seem to be nicer. Wind Creek SP seems like a better place.

We stayed there 2 nights. The state park is huge. The campground has some improvements going on. The sights were level but the road pavement is broken in places. There were some permanent residence. The bathrooms were cleaned while we were there but they didn't stay clean long (because of the rain). The staff was mostly teenagers. The petting zoo at the park entrance was great for the little one! We would visit again.

As in the previous review, I think the campground has seen better days. The Golf course, hiking trails and other facilities including the scenery are great. The staff did not pay alot of attention to any details. Security patroled regular and the park is a safe and enjoyable place to stay but the facilties definately need to be upgraded along with the hook up sites. Several tent sites in the wooded ares some with power and water and some without. For a state park, I think it needs some attention in the campground area.

Quiet campground in the woods five miles from the entrance to Oak Mountain State Park; Two sections; Section A has more attractive and private sites, but Section B has more reliable satellite access. Plenty of pull-through sites, but some are just "pull-off" sites and awnings and doors open to the road; many back-in sites suitable for big rigs. Decent State Park campground, but looks like it has been let go a bit - has seen better days; Laundry and restroom facilities were relatively clean for the age, but were inadequate; Gave it a 3 for the campground alone, but if we take the park and golf course into account, it probably would deserve a little higher.
