Though the campground was paved it was full of pot holes and cracks. The pavement was also covered in debree from trees so you couldn’t ride your bikes and the kids had a hard time playing. The grass was over a foot high and in the sight we were assigned too we had to go through the tall grass to get to our door. I had to struggle a bit with them to get it changed. The sights were right on top of each other. You couldn’t open your slide out all the way or you would hit the person next to you. The bath rooms were OK. I never saw a caretaker or host. You could get to the waterfall from the campground but had to pay to get around the other side or to hike down the trail. The petting zoo, gardens, train and miniature golf all had to be paid for. You got the “Free” Train ride only after you paid for your admission into the zoo and gardens.

A nice park located in the trees but the sites are rather close together. They have a special that we took advantage of in which if you stay 6 nights the 7th is free. The Falls is adjacent to the park and can be viewed for free however, there is a charge if you want to walk down to the base of the falls. The park is very quiet and peaceful.

City owned campground right next to city owned and run Noccalula Falls Park; just a few miles from center of Gadsden; Quiet campground nestled among tall pines. Few pull-through sites, but plenty of back-in sites suitable for big rigs. This campground warranted a four because it and the facilities were clean even if a little older and because of the 15% Escapees discount. With the discount (and including taxes), we averaged 17.00 per night for full hook-ups and a pool; without the discount, we probably would have given it a 3.
