||This campground is located off US 20 just north of the town of Lena. There are 141 Class A sites and about 33 class B sites. This area is HILLY area so be prepared, as the camping sites sit mostly on top of these hills. There is a swimming lake, that the kids really enjoyed, along with many trails to hike, There are some rather large shelters in the parks area, with many picnic tables. We stayed in one during a rather long thunder storm, but we had brought along some games that the grandchildren played. There was a lightning strike really, really close to this shelter, and did those kids jump when that loud bang was heard. Also this campground is close to what they call The Gelena Territory.
A nice park as no road noise is present. |
