I've been to Watkins Glen State Park 3 times now and each time have enjoyed my stay. Twice now we've been dumped on with rain, but there's a large shelter with elect. by the entrance to hang out in if the family gets cabin fever. The gorge is awesome and hiking it a treat, because when I get to the bottom I reward myself with an ice cream cone. The pool is great and a nice place to hang out. My kids (9&12) loved the playground.

Pool and hot tub were awesome. Kids really liked the pond for fishing and the pirate playground. Our site was very shady, quiet, and peaceful. Only complaint was there were times when staff was needed in pool area for kids with no supervision getting rowdy and not very respectful of other swimmers, especially small children.

The park was poorly kept. That's my sole complaint. I enjoyed the area and the falls. The bathhouse was a mess and poorly maintained, as was much of the state's facilities. I'm from PA and our parks are so much better there's no reasonable comparison that can be made. If you like clean, well-kept facilities, this is not the place for you. Stay at the KOA up the road and go wine tasting and sight-seeing.

Lovely campground other than staff do not enforce rules. Had people drinking until 4am beside our RV No control over quiet time.

The problem with the Watkins Glen SP is that there are too many trees to accomodate any large units. Especially large units that wish to be together. Very nice park though.

Beautiful campground. We had a great site. very large close to restrooms. Some sites have electric no water. Great Pool located down the hill. Both adult and kiddie. Access to the famous gorge trail from campground. If traveling with young children I would recomend starting the trail from the base and for a fee you can take a bus back down to the base. Only complaint with this CG is that the hill down to the pool/activities area is very steap and is the main road into the CG so I wouldn't let children ride their bike to the area. I suggest you drive back and forth. Stayed in site 81 Mohawk Village.
