Pros: Close to South Rim Trail, clean. Cons: Cold night time temperatures, no campfires .We have camped there twice on holiday weekends, and it has not been too crowded. We did make advance reservations both times.

This RV park offers nothing much in the way of scenery. In fact, there are many people (i'm guessing they work at the park) that seem to live there permanently. The best part of our stay was that the RV park was filled with elk when we were there. We had to ask them nicely to vacate our spot so we could pull in! Since it was mating season, we heard the elk bugling all night long which was pretty cool. Trailer Village is ok if you're just staying a few days and you plan to see the park. It's convenient to the shuttle which will take you anywhere you want to go in the park. We were visiting the park all day and early evening so we didn't spend much time in the trailer anyway except to sleep.

We stayed at Trailer village last July at the South Rim. The sites are defintely not huge, but the proximity to the Canyon far outweighs that. We requested the site at the far rear left corner of the campground. The site was great, because there were only trailers behind and next to us on one side. Also note, there are no fire pits there. They do allow you to build fires in the grills on the site, or you can bring your own grill for a pit. We bought a small 12" grill and used that. But the park iself is GREAT! Stay inside the park, because there is SO much to do. Plus, the line to get into the park can be up to 45 minutes on prime times. It is truly the most beautiful place I've ever seen!
