If you are tenting forget it! There are so many big rigs and trailers, camp roads in front of site were going at 6:00 A.M. Front pool was mobbed. Sites are on top of each other, no privacy and long walks to bathrooms. On the plus side, the trolley is great and kids enjoyed smaller pool, mini golf and entertainement. Don't go if you are looking for a tranquil piece of Maine. It is wall to wall people.

The "Big Rig" sites are in a dusty gravel parking lot with a pond. The last 2 days of our stay, we were covered up with dust from the heavy equipment roaring by our coach all day. The groung and coach shook from the Caterpiller track loader/grader/backhoe working next to us. No Rest with that and the noise. There was no wifi at our site and no one in the office cared.

Hugh campground, lots of things to do, a little expensive, but off season camping is reasonable. Nice clean campground

DITTO to most. Not very close to anything in town but the shuttle provided is awesome (although a little crowded and ending earlier than I would have liked). There was a LARGE party across the way and when it came time for quite time, staff was right there! SUPER nice tent sites with sandy spot. No Roots or highways! Bathrooms were excellent. Well worth the price for a coastal retreat and a day at the beaches.

Pros: A stop for the kids! Lots to do in area, great for kids (three pools, lots of activities); Old Orchard Beach. Cons: Very small and close sites. Zero privacy. The motor home area looked more like town homes they were so close! But when quiet hours came it went silent. The Ontario Parks people could learn a thing or two about quiet hours here!

Bayley's is located in Scarborough, ME., just minutes from Old Orchard Beach. We visited Bayley's with the Twomey's in the mid part of July. The exclusive tent sites that we stayed at were on a first come first serve basis. We arrived early (8 am) on a Friday to pick our sites, with lots to choose from. We were located on a hill overlooking one of the three pools. The RV sites were located in a different part of the campground and were very close together. With the schedule of activities that Bayley's provides there is something to do all day long for all ages. Saturday morning we took part in one of the fishing derbies and later rode the double decker bus to Old Orchard Beach. At night we went to the outdoor theater and watched a juggler and a country rock band. There are many more activities for the family to enjoy; paddle boats, 3 playgrounds, wagon rides, mini golf, volleyball & basketball courts. Excellent weekend and great weather. We visited Bayley's again in the late part of August. We had just as a good time the second time as the first. This time one of the girls was call up on stage with the juggler/comedian. He was great with her, they both had the crowd roaring. She was the hit of the show. Bailey is a great family camping spot, a little expensive but worth it, we will be back next year.

Wow. On site restraunt, Lobsters, burgers, and Elk. wicked pastries. 3 BIG pools 2 general use jacuzzi's 2 adult Jacuzzi's, Bike rental, boat rentals, Fishing, nightly activities in the theater (big) Been hypnotized there. Ask the staff. Free shuttle to Old Orchard Beach. Amusement Park, Beach, tourist attactions etc. Fireworks every weekend during the summer. Well stocked store. Can't help but have fun here. Very popular crowded CG during the summer. New improvements being made to add additional 120(OMG) sites. Organized and speedy check in. C series sites have more room 70 series too tight for 24'+ in my opinion. Fun for all. Did I mention the REALLY bad pastry bar? IE: Whoopie pies larger than your stretched out hand. Also stayed in sites C8 and 74.
