Westbranch State Park is excellent. We have travelled all around Ohio in its State parks for 5 years now, and have never seen a park as clean and beautiful as this one. The camphost are always working to keep it clean, and are always friendly and helpful. The sites are always cleaned as soon as a camper exits. The sites are big and wooded. I do not think there is really a bad site to camp on. The lake is beautiful as well. The activities planned for the children are fun. They have ice cream socials for the families on saturday night, plus movies at the ampitheater for the kids. We could not reccomend a nicer campground. Halloween Camp is the best around, but book 6 months ahead on this one, it is very popular. Happy Campers

This is the best park in the Ohio State park system. We have stayed at 13 other Ohio parks, but like this the best. Showerhouses are new and well keep.

West Branch State Park has had a complete remake in the past 3 or 4 years. All sites are now electrified and the oldest bath house is 3 years old. Like most Ohio state parks sites almost universally lack water and sewer connections other than a handful. It's a long walk to the bath house from our preferred sites which back onto the lake. Good park for kids and everyone else. Good law enforcement presence -- never had problems with drunks after hours. Ohio state park reservations website has good descriptions. Most sites have some shade, but full sun sites are very warm. Pets are welcome at some, but not all parts of the campground. This park has been full every time we've camped there over the past 4 seasons -- reservations are strongly recommended. Boats can be kept on site next to your camper.
