Very disappointing. Paid $100 a day for a cabin that was INFESTED with hundreds of daddy long-legs--I killed them and killed them endlessly but then more appeared. The screen door was in disrepair, and there was a hole in the bottom of the door big enough to roll a baseball under. A chipmunk ran in and zigzagged all around the cabin til it ran back out. I asked to be moved and the next cabin was just as bad--a foul odor and mouse droppings on the counter and in the sink. And to top it off the propane tank of the fridge ran out and my food spoiled. I HOPE they have made improvements since then!!!!

This campground was very nice. Our site was a little scary backing up hill, but the staff helped us and once we were in, it was extremely private and wooded. I loved the hiking trails and doggie beach. Beautiful scenery. We came with some other family members on different sites so we walked around visiting and the kids had fun riding bikes all around. Nice bathrooms and showers too.

Another shameless plug for a good campground. CCV has added a large dog run and a kennel service during the day to thier campers. Spent two weekends there this fall and it has been very good. Kudo's to the Spencers and CCV Staff.

Site we were assigned was a pull through. A bit tight but we arrived without reservations and this site was what was left. New small pool and some new staff. Main road is now paved to the lodge, Sites seem to be in the process of upgrade, gravel, leveling. "Super-sites" are some of the best sites I have seen. They include a deck, table and chairs, grill, 3 way, cable and WIFI. Campground was nice before but seems to be getting to be even better in small measured steps. The weekend we stayed we found out the CG CALLED people who had reservations and asked if they would be interested in a Clam Bake! Lobster, Corn on the Cob, Chips, Clams and potato salad. What CG does that!

The campground claims to be open (as of May 1st)but is in a state of disaray. The wifi is not opporational, cable is not installed on all sites (as advertised) the dryers not working on a rain soaked weekend. There was no staff to be found other than in the office. The camp store and or rec hall was not opened and activities were planned online but nothing took place during our visit. This campground seemed to be dorment. Spotted seasonal campers around willing to lend a hand thank god for them at least they seemed to care.I would recomend calling and confirming what is available and open before your arrival.

As we were there in September, the campground was quiet, and very restfull. Numerous seasonals on site, in season, could possibly be congested and noisy. Full hookup sites were accomodating in every way. As only a stop over for two days, we would use this campground again in the future. It fit our needs.

Chocorua Camping village is located on Rt 16 in West Ossipee NH. Chocorua Camping village consists of 185 acres along the shores of Moores Pond and Chocorua river. We booked our site 3 days before planning our trip. There were only 2 sites available so book early if you can. Most sites were wooded with water & electric. and were spacious and clean, however our site was #104 would have been wet if it had rained. This was were all the water would run off. Some sites were not available because of new sewer line that were going in. There are beautiful hiking and biking trails which were well maintained and started at the campground that meandering around the marsh and woodland areas. There was also an activities coordinator who was well organized and enthusiastic. She was a big hit with our kids who particularly enjoyed the outdoor game of capture the flag, tie dying T-shirts and decorating the tee pee that they built. There is a small beach area for wading along with paddle boat and canoe rentals available.

Chocorua Camping Village is one of those special type of CG's. Thier surroundings and the attitude and feel of the CG draw people back again and again. The Spencers are the owners. Lee Spencer has done a great job over the last years in making small tastful additions to the campground without loosing the CGs personality. Located on Moore's pond off RT 16 CCV will not disappoint those that like to hike or watch a breeze ripple over the pond. Wildlife enthusiasts are draw to thier wooden bridge that crosses over a marsh. There views of Mt. Chocorua the CG, Moore's pond and the forest are waiting. I have wanted to set a chair in the middle of that bridge just to watch the world go by BUT my fellow campers would have me swimming! Activities for the the kids and scheduled events that allow mom and dad to set up and tear down without worrying about jr. Highly recommended. And one more thing Priscilla at the front office has this inane ability to remember you by name. How does she do that?
