this campground double book my reservation so I drove all the way from Minnesota only to find they put someone else on the waterfront site they promised to me. They were rude and unhelpful and sent me away ruining my vacation. I tried to contact Ron the manager and he has not followed up with me. They are supposed to give me a credit and have not done that either.

We booked online and got there to find the site we had booked under 3' of water. They were accommodating and let us move to a higher & drier site for the first night and then to a larger one the second through the end of our stay. The staff was very helpful, the site was nice and big and clean. There are some that are landscaped with a gravel area for a tent. We are tent campers so electric & cable don't mean anything to us. The showers were hot and free, laundry facility was open 24 hours. The pool was nice and the bus makes the whole thing especially nice.

This campground actually has two locations. The ocean-front park is beautiful. Sites on the ocean are water/electric only - no cable TV. The other park is in the woods (not my cup of tea) but it has cable TV and a pool. Lots of activities during the summer. We ate the best lobster we had in Maine in the campground.

I was at Bar Harbor KOA last summer and would highly recommend it. They have programs for the kids on the weekends (mine made Tye-Dye shirts- $3 and they give you the shirt), an inflatable movie screen (like a drive-in) that everyone sat around in chairs or on blankets, it's right on the water so when the tide is out the kids climb on the rocks and look for shells and sea life. We had a great time. So much fun that we made reservations to return this summer.

Pleasent office people, they even sent someone to help you get parked and level. They have ocean view and ocean sites. Shuttle bus to town. This is a must visit part of our country. Good size sites, clean campground.
