I just returned from a W*O*N*D*E*R*F*U*L weekend at this campground! This was our first time bringing my 2 1/2 year old and 10 month old camping. I will admit after reading the reviews prior to booking my family trip I was kind of hesitant about it. I was fearful of the jet noises and my baby not sleeping due to how bad people were saying it was. I am so glad I went with my gut instinct and booked the trip. This camping trip was so much fun for all of us. My sisters came down from NJ with their families and the campground was super friendly and helpful in getting us all accomidated in sites big enough for us all. We have a total of 5 adults and 10 children ranging in ages of 17 years old - 10 months old. EVERYONE had a great time and we can not wait to go back.

Our stay at the park was not a good experience and ruined our planned week long beach vacation. Upon entering the park at 9pm there was blasting music and drunk people everywhere. The check in desk was overrun and the staff members were not helpful, treating us as it was privilege to stay there. After processing our credit card we were informed that the power was out in our section with no ETA for repair. We asked to be moved to another section and offered to pay the difference but this was refused. Disappointing because during our early checkout we were asked why we didn’t upgrade. Because of a medical condition at the time of this vacation we required electrical power. We decided to wait out the night and pulled into our site. The sites are on top of one another and the maintenance of the grounds was poor. During the first few moments of setup we were scared, physically shaken, and deafened by a fighter jet taking off. This campground is located at the end of a naval runway which might be amazing for someone into jets however this will drive any normal person insane within the first hours of constant takeoffs and landings. The jets are close enough to make out the pilots and the noise is beyond screaming at the top of your lungs. We know this as it’s impossible to communicate during the never ending flyovers. One night is all we could handle with all things considered. There were many reasons not to stay but the major one being the ETA for power restoration looking to be days away. During the early checkout we were met with the same level disrespect and lack of concern we received the day before.

Great campground.Staff was friendly and helpful. Everything was clean and in good repair. Prices at the camp store were reasonable The only downside was the Naval jets but they shut down about 8 or so. A really good place if you have a nagging spouse,

This campground is average. It's close proximity to the beach and shopping is a bonus, but unless you stay on one of their concrete supersites, it is not worth it. The sites are small and are in desperate need of lawn maintenance. The main pool is not so nice, but if you visit one of the other 3 pools there, you will have a much more enjoyable experience. There is no cable either which is normally not an issue at the beach, but would have come in handy on a chilly rainy day. I think we will try out another campground the next time we travel to VA Beach.

We staying at the park for 5 nights during holloween week. very cool to have trick or treaters at your RV. The weather was great and the park decor was very cool. The staff goes out of there way to keep the park clean. The fighter jets make alot of noise Mon thru Fri but they need to practice so I forgive the noise. We are locals and also store our 37 foot motorhome at the campgroundm at a great price. This is a great park and we will spend many weekends having a blast at our home 10 miles away from home!. GREAT STAFF!! A+

We just came from this campground a few days ago and I must say I was really disappointed. Our site was nice but we had some electrical problems that I feel weren't taken serious by the management at the campground. They are extending their laundry facility which will be a good thing because right now they have 4 washers and dryers for 900 campsites! The jets from the Naval Station were a real nuisance. They were nonstop for about six hours our first day there and didn't stop till 10:30 that night. Check in was slow and there are no guides to get you to your campsite. On a good note, the pools were pretty clean and security was abundant.

We went down to Holiday Travel Park on one of our first overnite trips with the kids back in May. The super sites looked very nice with concrete pads and large elevated bronze type firepits on wrought iron type stands. The trolley comes into the campground and goes over to the Boardwalk on the ocean a mile or two away. Has a nice sidewalk that probably??? goes all the way to the Boardwalk and passes by the Virginia Marine Science Museum (which has a large Aquarium) which is practically next door to the campground. They also have a parking lot 2 blocks from the beach that guests of the park can use if they drive their toads over to it.

Restrooms and Showers, CATV, dump station, portable dump, laundry, public phone, full svc store, RV supplies, LP gas, ice, tables, wood, rec hall, pavilion, coin games, 4 swim pools, wading pool, whirlpool, mini-golf($), basketball, bike rentals, playground, planned activities (in season), badminton, horseshoes, sports field, v-ball. Ask about a free parking area near the beach. Prices during their summer season is high. VB taxes are at 13%. Great inner roads. Very pretty campground. Lots of trees and flowers. Be sure and check out the carvings around the park. The staff is polite and businesslike. Everything was kept clean and seemed to be well maintained. You can put your trash out anytime of the day and it will be picked up by the park.

We stayed at Holiday Trav - L Park this past summer and then again in the fall. First time we used a pull-thru sight and this offered a nice lot with full hook-ups. Cable not included. They have a great campground and offer all the things that you need, store, putt-putt, pools, playgrounds. Second time we stayed in the prem sites which I recommend. Large lots with cement and large picnic table. You will have Jet noise all during the day, but if you love the sound of freedom and the up close and seeing the pilots and jets as they fly over, you will love it. Animals did not care for them and I'm sure small children would not like them also, but otherwise I found it awesome. They have close to beach parking at no charge (rare for beach area). Highly recommend CG.

This is a resort type campground in Virginia Beach. It is not on the beach. However, there is a tram that runs almost hourly to the beach. You can also drive to a private parking lot owned by the campground for campground guests only. Here you can park for free and walk just two very short blocks to the beach. This campground has 4 large swimming pools, playgrounds, tennis and basketball courts, activities, etc. It's a large campground, but we didn't feel overly crowded. They have some "new" campsites that have concrete pads and other extras. We have camped here on two different occasions and we loved it.
