Ignore the earlier poster with the bad review. i have no idea where she stayed. this is one of the best rv parks in the nation. large paved sites, the pool is located on the north end of the campground. the park is so large, if your are on the south end, it would be a walk. only a few minutes off the interstate. nice local town for shopping and food. woodlands area is also very close. we have stayed here 5-6 times and love it. very few trees to worry about, plenty of room to park your 5th wheel truck or now our motorhome with a tow car on your site. top rated park, check it out!

The grounds are a piece of heaven. Absolutely beautiful! Staff is attentive and pleasant. Many things for a family to do. Large pool that is NOT near the campground. Sites vary in size. Most are long and very narrow. No escort to site. Others do not have enough room to park the tow vehicle very easily. Some are so narrow one is unable to open the awning. No telephone reception by some carriers(dangerous should have in emergency phone) No TV reception except 1 channel at times. Laundry facilities very good. This site was a lake full of mud and with 2 dogs this made for a very rough situation.(had to be carried and walked away from this area)Too many trees around sites; Some need to be cleared and 3 sites made into 2. Many one way roads and is confusing at time.Excellent walking and hiking areas. Various tours within campground good. Would stay here again only if on a different site.

We travel to the Houston area yearly for business and pleasure. We have stayed for a week each time at Rayford Crossing Resort. We travel the Western half of the U.S. 12 months of the year, from Indiana to California. Rayford Crossing is rated in top five of the dozens of RV Parks where we have stayed. We noted this trip (June 30-July 8) that Rayford Crossing was rated No.1 by the Texas Association. We agree.
