We have been to this park at least 4 times in the last 2 years. It just keeps getting better. the folks that run this park are some of the finest folks I have met and take pride in their park. the site we prefer is 118. it has a large side yard, pull thru site, and has a great view of the lake and also provides a great place just to relax and people watch. The on site diner is a great place to get a good meal, breakfast lunch or supper at decent prices. They also have a small bar for a quick drink. The soft serve ice cream is a great touch for a dessert or just a treat. They have a small mini golf course next to the office plus a nice deck just to sit and relax. The park has a couple of playground areas for the kids and the times we have there, it seems to get used. They are in the process of redoing some areas next to the office to make room for a waterslide, hope is ready by 2014 season. The campground sits next to the turkey river. It is lazy river and makes a great place for tubing. They do rent tubes and canoes and offer a return ride or will pick you up at a drop off point where you can leave your vechile and bring you back to the launch area. The tubes they rent are the big truck ones, we have our own with back rest so the only fee we have is the ride back. They also have some rental units, that we have rented for members of our familes so we could have a family weekend. Old units but clean and in great working order. The kids and grandkids really enjoyed them. If you enjoy exploring small towns or just taking country drives this is a great place for a base as the local towns and countryside offer some great sites and places to visit. (yes in Iowa) All in all this is great place to spend a couple of days, nice park, nice location, and great folks who own and run it.

Received from randy for visit in Jun 2013
