I believe our Fav Campround is in New Orleans just blocks from Bourbon Street area. The French Quarter RV Resort is right in the heart of New Orleans believe or not, and such an awesome facility! Let me start with the security which begins with 6 foot attractive block walls surrounding the whole property with wrought iron gates with keypad entry, and not to forget the strand of razor wire connected on top of the wall to deter any unwanted guests. Then we will move to the beautiful individual sites that are perfectly poured concrete with no need for any additional leveling chocks. Nex the immaculately daily trimmed grass and curbs, and that is not an exaggeration by any means. There is one man who works everyday to make sure the grass is perfectly cut, there are absolutely no weeds infiltrating any curbs or streets, and when he isnt doing that, he is collecting trash from each site, cleaning the bath facilities or blowing the sites and road so there is not a speck of debri anywhere ever! Its amazing! Okay back to the security, there is the beautiful lobby as soon as you come in the gate, manned 24 hours a day with very helpful and accommodating employees. Then move out in the courtyard where there is an attractive pool, jacuzzi & sports bar area. Not to mention the ice machine to use at your leisure included in your nightly rate for all your ice needs. Even to fill your cooler if necessary! That never happens! Okay so lets move on to the final on site treat is the bath facilities. There are only 4, but talked about nice, they are all individual full private bathrooms with showers for your privacy. Kept extremely clean & very attractive and inviting, not like some bath houses Im sure you have experienced in your travels. There is a police presence around 24/7 that also makes things feel doubly secure in a city setting like that and the front office desk clerk witll summons you a cab to make the couple block trek down to Bourbon Street and shops and sites beyond. Average cost about $7.00 plus tip one way, saves finding parking which is not taht easy. And actually if you really wanted and were feeling energetic, it is a nice 4-5 block walk to the beginning of all that from the campground. We did the trip on foot one night after partying on Bourbon Street and having a little too much. Helped walk off that feeling and no problems even at midnight as long as you follow the campground desk clerks instructions about which streets to walk when going or coming. Such a wonderful town New Orleans with Great Food, Great Attractions to see, and now a Great Campground! May find it a little higher than most, but well worth the difference! Have fun!
