Some sites are very nice with excellent views of Lower Bear River Reservoir. However, most of the sites sit on the side of a mountain making it nearly impossible to level your RV. The roads within the campground are very rough. When making reservations, I was explained that each site is level enough to off-load a camper – This is not true. When inquiring on the phone about hook-ups, the lady said power and water are available in each site. Upon arrival, we discovered only 15 amps are provided. No adapters are loaned out to customers, but they may be purchased. Furthermore, the electrical boxes (nailed to the trees) were located very far away from most sites. Again, extension cords are not loaned out to customers, but may be purchased. When checking in, we were told that campers can use the dump station for no additional fee. When leaving we pulled into the dump station to find it locked. Once again, an untold fee of $10.00 was required along with a “$20.00 bill” to be used as a deposit for the key. Since I did not have a $20.00 bill, I offered a credit card. A credit card was not acceptable; it had to be a $20.00 bill, not two $10.00’s but a single $20.00 bill. I was then told I could use the ATM machine to withdrawal money if needed; however, a $4.00 fee would be applied. The resort does have a marina with many slips 20’ in length. When pulling your boat into the marina, watch out for the floating propane tanks being used as buoys. They are rusted and hard to see.
