We have been to Algonquin Trails two times so far this year and plan to return a 3rd time. The playground is great for the kids, the owners are exceptionally nice and we have done some day trips in the area - Huntsville, Dorcet and Algonquin Park are all quite close. ATV trails are close to the campground, the washrooms are nice and clean and the sites have more trees than some of the RV parks we have visited. I would definitely recommend this spot! Happy camping :)

My friend and I booked the cabin for the week-end. Upon our arrival the fire was already going and the firewood was delivered as well. The cabin was clean and unlocked ready for us. The pool and bathroom was very clean. I would recommend this campground. There maybe a lot of rules but they are in place so everyone has an enjoyable and peaceful stay. Thanks again

This campground is very clean, the washrooms/showers were amazing, compared to provincial parks. The floor was always sparkling. The owners are strict about the rules, but you know what, I appreciate quiet time from 11PM to 8AM!, and not having to listen to partiers all night, like at the provincial parks. I would have liked to have my fire past midnight, but that's okay. There are a few drawbacks which some people might not like: you have to buy their firewood, but they deliver it right to your site and it's less or same price($6-$8)as prov parks. You are not allowed to dump grey water. We have a new pop up camper which doesn't have a grey water tank, so we had to stick a bucket to catch the water from our dirty dishes. We used that water to extinguish our fire at midnight!! I did not experience any problems. The park is run by a husband and wife team, so they don't have a lot of staff. But it wasn't a problem at all. They were always in the office if you needed anything. This park is also in between Huntsville, and Algonquin Park (20 mins? either way), so great spot. Also, don't miss Henriettas bakery just down the road. Awesome!!!! but can get very busy. They have a really nice playground, basketball court, horseshoes, volleyball, miniputt (which needs a bit of work, but was still fun),and an indoor pool, and is included with your stay. The only activities they do are on Saturdays, such as Christmas in July. They had some crafts, and cake, and you could decorate your trailer if you had some decs. They also showed a movie at 9PM, so the kids and parents liked that. This park has mostly RV's, some absolutely huge. It got busy on the weekends, but it wasn't overly loud, and people kept quiet later at night. I enjoyed my stay there, and will go back again. I loved the big, tall trees in the campground, and the stars at night. Just a note:there were about 15 seasonal RVers who left the campground last year because they did not like the new owners and some of their rules...these will probably be t! he ones that would leave negative comments on this site. People get set in their ways and don't like change, etc. I hoped this helped.... and if you do go, enjoy your stay.

This campground is under new owners this year and they are very understaffed with unfriendly people. They promised programs for the kids each day but we stayed all week and only did it on the weekends. Took away clubhouse for kids to sell furniture and were strict with rules but also rude about it. I would recommend to look elsewhere until they learn what service means!

We have been staying at this campground for five seasons on and off. Great indoor pool, golf driving range, playground, games, TV/Rec hall. The sites are spacious, treed and large. The ground cover is pine needles. Algonquin Park is only 10 minutes away for many hiking experiences. The only negative thing I can say is that they overly strict with rules. This can be frustrating as people like to have a campfire past midnight as long as they are not being too rowdy. Would not recommend for a large group of campers.
