||We spent one night in the municipal campground at Riviere du Loup. It is on the outskirts of town, but still close
enough to restaurants, grocery stores (and, as since we unfortunately
needed it, tire stores!). The campground is very neat and is lightly
wooded, with some open spaces. The temperature was very comfortable. We
had driven from Montreal that day, and it was much more comfortable in
Riviere du Loup.
The roads in the campground are paved and there are adequate, clean
bathroom/shower facilities. The campsites have a fire ring and picnic
table. We had a water faucet as well. The park map shows centrally
located laundry facilities, but we did not use these.
The campground is on a bluff overlooking the St. Lawrence River, but not
all sites have a river view. |
