This is one of our favourite parks. The sites are generally private and well treed. The comfort stations are newer and kept clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. The beach is absolutely beautiful and Lake Erie is warm. Unfortunately, a number of times we have been to Port Burwell the beach has been closed for high bacteria levels. There are only two main walking trails there – one is a 1km loop through forest, and the other leads down to the beach area. There is an excellent playground near the head of the trails that will keep kids happy for hours. We do wish they would provide more than one picnic table per site. We often pay $10 for the use of an extra picnic table for the weekend.

this was our familys first big camping experience, and it was great, the sites were very private, lots of room, and the kids could bike safely for hours, the park staff were very friendly, and the bathrooms were very clean and well maintained,, a short walk or bike to the beach, and a whole day of fun, I would highly reccomend this to anyone,, good luck,,,

This park is amazing!! We love it here, we go a few times each year for weekend trips.. The park is in a very small village, (Port Burwell) so there is very little noise around the area.. VERY LARGE BEACH!! The park has one of the largest beaches in the area.. you will for sure find somewhere to sit that isn't on top of someone else!! The Parks 'store' was recently re-built from the tent to a wooden structure, still they offer only ice cream snacks and some park memorabilia. most sites are private, the non-reservable, non-hydro sites are the most private, and are our favourite's.. There is a large playground area, with a huge open field for playing ball or Frisbee, etc.. and a very nice jungle-gym for kids to play on.. our kids love playing there.. There are 3 camground area's within the park, each has 1 shower-house so taking a shower during busy days could be a problem at some times, the showers are solar-heated, so water isn't always super warm, esp if it's busy, but it's 'green' :) The beach is accessible via a long hike through the woods, or a road outside of the park boundaries. you must plan on a good stay at the beach if going.. there are picnic area's at all the beaches, with fire-pit stoves, and some shelters, there is electricity and water near the shelters.. good for day trips as well, you can stay all day if you bring some food and wood, or a BBQ/Camp Stove/etc.. I rate this park at better than a 10/10, it is our favourite park in this area, definatley the best on Lake Erie!! I enclosed some pics of some different area's of the park, our campsites, etc.. feel free to E-Mail me for any questions, etc..

Town and beach only 10 minutes away. Nature trails nearby. Lots of wooded large campsites. No amenities on the grounds, just a small tent of a store to purchase firewood and trinkettes. Port Burwell along Lake Erie is known by naturalists for the migration of hawks and vultures and occastional eagles. They looked like little tornadoes in the sky circling in the air.
