Been going camping for many years. The place is a beautiful place at first site. Lots are spacious. But that is where the good stuff ends. I have never met a staff this unfriendly. Most concrete pads are falling apart. Grass must hardly ever be cut and ants and spiders are everywhere. Ate at restaraunt. Food was good but staff is terrible. Waited forever for food and had to chase someone down just to get a refill on my drink. Brought check and said must be paid in store. Never even asked if we wanted dessert or anything else Tennis courts and shuffleboard courts need to be redone. Bathrooms are nasty and if you dare take a shower, you better be quick, Very limited hot water. Place has lots of potential but apparently nobody cares. Will not be back!

East Lake showed me a real good time under the old oaks. The pool was nice, the restaurant was delious, and the employees were very nice, told me everything i needed to know. Also the bonfire in the evening was a great addition to the country band. East Lake was a wondrerful vacation i cant wait to go back.

They are trying to call themselves an RV resort. It was 90 outside and 15 minutes in the pool and you were shivering. Asked management when they started heating the pool - Pool is not heated. It is close to Disney - 15 miles but takes 45 minutes due to traffic. They are off the beaten path, they have so much going for them with big beautiful sites under huge old growth oak trees, but the bugs are bad. Also be very careful if you stay there for a month. $400 for the month - plus $52 in taxes for 2 people plus electric. Their electric is outrageous. My 36' fifth wheel - had the refrigerator on gas for 2 weeks, electric for 2 weeks. Air off and on only 1 week and tv off and on, water heater on gas - electric bill upon check out - $85 for one person, 30 days. The manager told me upon check out it was the taxes. My kids were there 2 days in Oct and their electric bill for the month of Oct $35. Met some people who came in from Montana for a month but decided to only stay for a week due to the way they were treated at check in. Every time my son in law walked into the office he was treated rudely and he is a friendly guy who talks to everyone. They have a lot to learn if they are going to call themselves a Resort.
