This is a beautiful place, huge oaks that make very shady sites, located on a great lake and not far from the Gulf. They have absolutely the best winter fishing I've personally ever done, especially in large-mouth bass. I caught an 8 pounder and saw two other catches that weighed in at 12 lbs. each. Also great on bluegill, brim, crappie. They had boat rentals and slips and a ramp, and a bait shop in their store. Lots of activities for guests too, men and women. Something every day like bingo,a poker, aerobics, heated pool, fish frys and parties with great food, group cruise to the Bahamas. My wife found lots to do, got very friendly with other women in activities and ladies day social outings. Impressed by how clean and attractive the place was, very high standards. Park is owned and run by an extremely friendly family, the lady who owns it is charming. Sons and daughters in management are really on top of everything. All the staff is top notch too and have the same spirit of easygoing friendliness and excellent service. Everyone we met was so nice and friendly, mostly folks who come year after year and some who live there. Place is booked far in advance and we were lucky to get in. I just can't say enough good things about this park, the Hatton family and people they've attracted to their park, and of course the top notch fishing.
