Nice SRA with access to reservoir for boating, fishing and swimming.....showers, laundry and flush toilets during season.....pit toilets offseason.....several areas for camping.....we enjoy Dutch Charlie the best since it's away from road traffic and at a higher elevation...vegetation on the short side with pinion pine and cedars predominant....good base camp for the Ouray-Silverton_Telluride area...MANY 4x4 trails into high country...different levels of difficulty

Although not large tree population (mostly pinion pine and cedar) the pullthrough sites at the upper cg of Dutch Charlie offered nice views of surrounding area. Nice location for base camp if 4-wheeling the high elevations around Ouray and Silverton. All site and roads paved with good campfire facilities and concrete walks and table sites. Pets okay but no cabling to trees allowed. Upper level away from the highway so noise not a problem.

We were very excited about our trip to stay in a Yurt at Ridgeway but it turned out to be an extreme disappointment. The park has beautiful views but it is right off the highway. The Yurts are not secluded at all. The highway noise was amplified. So much so, that it was the first time I woke up camping with a headache. This park seems to be built for RV and boater convenience. All the sites are paved, etc. It isn't the Colorado we know. It's situated near a resevoir so we should have known. If you're a boater, it could be great; otherwise, stay away. It is not meant for tent campers.
