This was a great campsite. Very busy on weekend but no problem getting a site. Bathrooms and showers are kept very nice. Can walk over dunes to beach which is beautiful. I went surf fishing on the beach and caught a baby Blue fish. Saw a school of dolphins swim by. Staff is very friendly. Sites are good size and kept clean.

We enjoyed our stay, for the most part. The camp sites in our loop are very small and. We had trouble siting our large tent amongst the trees. It is a very shaded campground, though! The beach is very nice as are the bike trails. It is a very crowded place on the weekends and there is a lot of traffic and party noise. There was also a lot of litter left behind by previous campers.

We stayed there last summer while visiting our daughter and it worked out well for us. We picked the site and got an inner site. Also, we were in a travel trailer and did not have the noise problem because we kept the windows closed but I can understand why you could in a tent or a pop-up. The campground is level and there are some good walking paths closeby.

My family and I have camped for years and decided to try First Landing State Park. Well, they may boast to have hundreds of sites but I am convinced that only a handful may be worth the stay. We were assigned a site that was within 15 feet of a major road(Shore Drive) All night long the cars, trucks and road noise kept us awake. Not to mention the headlights shining into our tent at every pass. We couldn't even have a conversation at the dinner table it was so unbearable. We packed up and left and wished it wasn't prepaid. I need quiet and darkness to sleep. And to think this campground has "quiet hours" for the fellow campers. What a true joke.
