Camped here over the Canada Day Long weekend for 3 nights. Good room for 2 tents and Gazebo for the picnic table. Due to being next to a pathway, someone during the middle of the night stole our camp lantern which had a lot of sentimental value so please don"t leave anything on tables. Lock your items or loose them, the next day. Ask for a more private site as this one is across from the washrooms, unless your a good sleeper and don"t mind people having to go at all hours of the night. Be aware of poison ivy and racoons after 10pm. Happy Camping here and beyond.

We booked here with only a few weeks notice & got a great spot in Whipporwill campsite. There were lots of trees to hang ropes from and plenty of shade. The sites were really generous size & some were adjoining if you were camping with another group. The bathrooms were average but clean (the most important part!) and despite the park being almost at full capacity, it felt private and quiet! There were good trails to walk and organized kids activities. (beading and treasure hunts). The warden didn't enforce a rowdy party across from our site though (which went on for 4 hours!), which annoyed us greatly but it was tolerable because it was during the afternoon. The beach is outside of the park, so you have to either bike or drive (1min by car). I recommend taking bikes. It's nice to bike down to the beach and then explore the tiny town along the water. Port Dover is 30min away too if it rains, to explore. All in all I would return, but it helped to set proper expectations before going, to avoid disappointment.

We stayed in the "Walking Stick Woods" area. Site was spacious, but covered in leaves. We were not warned about the poison ivy that grows freely on and around the sites. We constantly worried out small children would get poison ivy! There was also a problem with ticks in the area, another worry for our children. The warden did come around often, but he was moody. Our dog got bitten by some type of bug and had an allergic reaction and the staff were not very helpful or knowledgeable regarding animals and insect bites. The beach was beautiful, but you had to drive to get to it. There was a nice park for the kids to play in. There were also trails, but we did not venture out on them. The outhouses were typical, but clean. The comfort station was decent, but not great. There really was no excessive noise. I would not go back here with small children again.
